In these cases, we believe that the products and services offered are likely to provide real value to our customers, and we provide only the minimum information needed to offer you the product or service. We may also share information with outside entities when necessary in connection with a transaction you request or authorize, to protect you against fraud and unauthorized transactions, to comply with subpoenas and court orders, and when otherwise required or permitted by law. FORMER CUSTOMERS: Our privacy policies and procedures with respect to disclosure of personal information relating to former customers are the same as those for existing customers, except that, as such information gets older, it is used less and eventually purged from our records.
OPTING OUT – THE CHOICE IS YOURS: We recognize that some individuals may not place a high value on the benefits that flow to them from sharing the information we collect. We respect that and we want you to have a choice. Therefore, except for that information which we may be permitted or required by law to share, you may request that we do not share information to outside companies by notifying us that you wish to “opt out”.
OPTING OUT PROCEDURES: You may opt out at any time by completing and mailing the South Lafourche Bank & Trust Company Opt Out Election Form to South Lafourche Bank & trust Company, P.O. Box 489, Larose, LA 70373. Please allow us a reasonable period of time for us to update our information databases. We will make every effort to comply with your wishes as soon as possible, but in no event later than 60 days after receipt by us. Opting out of information sharing may be accomplished only in person or by mail. Your opt-out elections remain in effect until you evoke them in writing.
JOINT ACCOUNTS: If you obtain any of our products or services jointly with one or more individuals, your opt-out decision will also apply to each of those other individuals.
